MAUI WILDFIRE CASES

The August 8, 2023 Maui wildfires are the most devastating catastrophe in Hawaii's history. Thousands of people have suffered damages as a result of the fires. Many lives have been lost. Hundreds of homes have been destroyed. Many have been injured and lost their jobs, and countless businesses have also been destroyed.

The Lahaina fire claimed the lives of several of Bob Kawamura's friends and also destroyed his childhood home where his mother still lived. He represents many of his Lahainaluna classmates, Lahaina residents, and businesses to recover their losses suffered in the fire and therefore the Lahaina fire cases are personal to him. His Lahaina roots run deep and he knows the people and this community.
